WHat is The Mode of Genetic INHERITANCE?
According to The Embryo Project Encyclopedia, the mode of Genetic Inheritance for Cystic Fibrosis is autosomal recessive disorder which means that it is not directly inherited from the mother and the father, but it receives a mutated copy of the gene related to cystic fibrosis from both parents. That means both of the parents are carriers of the disease, but it does not affect them. When the two parents who are carriers reproduce, there is a 25% chance the child will have the disease, a 50% chance the child will be a carrier of the disease, and a 25% chance of the child not carrying nor having the disease.
